I wonder what would happen if he suddenly wouldn’t be reelected. Like just as a joke, to see his face, while everybody is laughing and in the background, they get the guillotine ready.
The ballot only has him on it, so any vote is for him. Pretty sure voting is compulsory too. But I doubt they actually tabulate the results like a real election.

Every time I see something like this I think of Loki’s speech in Avengers where he says humans basically want to be ruled and treated like crap, and I wonder if it doesn’t hit a bit too close to home for some people.
