I’ve seen it plenty of times. Solitary confinement is torture, punitive beatings are torture. Where I’m from, it’s very common for parents to inflict these forms of torture on their children.

I didn’t “make up” anything, I commented about an experience I have witnessed among many, many of my peers. Shitty parents who fetishize rules and uphold them over what is right are very common in my personal, lived experience. I am happy for you that you find this so unbelievable, because it means your life has been much better than mine.

Yes, definitely. Plenty of parents would just see “my son punched someone at school and got suspended for 2 days” and they would do everything in their power to make those 2 days hell as punishment. I’m honestly amazed some of y’all seem not to be familiar with these types of parents.

You misunderstood what I’m saying. I’m saying this was a negligent discharge. It wasn’t an accidental discharge since those don’t exist. And it wasn’t an intended discharge. And it wasn’t a mechanical failure by the manufacturer or designer of the gun. The only other option is negligent discharge.
