Protests are growing after a man identified as a 26-year-old from Colombia was fatally shot. Immigration advocates say he was authorized to work in the U.S.

Seems like ICE always claims that the person wasn’t who they meant to shoot and that they posed a threat, even if it always turns out to be lies.

    So then that’s murder.

    It would be murder otherwise, but it’s arguably not under the umbrella of qualified immunity in this context. I hope the fucker gets life. Or, well, even prosecuted at all, because the bar is very fucking low at this point.

      Nah, even if they weren’t the target, it happened in the “line of duty”. Same shit as when a SWAT team accidentally kills a kid through a wall after raiding a house, or when a cop runs a driver off the road while chasing down another vehicle.
