My last job used AI as HR, it was a nightmare. Screwed up all the time, had to escalate the smallest things because “Computer says “no””.
They were folding in AI into IT and the warning started kicking out for using social media, YT, etc. I was a working a 24/7/365 job monitoring gear. How do you fill the hours as a babysitter/firefighter. When its not broke we just sit there.
But by those metrics they did fire a few people until they realized how hard it was to replace them… And they wanted more money.
