I skated nearly everyday from age 12-15, then sporadically after that. At around age 30 I was feeling the urge and got a new board. I was at the skatepark wondering if I’m getting too old until I met this guy in his late 40s who had just started a year earlier. Dude had a helmet, knee pads, and shorts with padding on his ass, but had gotten decent at carving the bowl and was trying new shit all the time. He definitely kept me skating longer than I would have otherwise. Though injuries take so long to heal now and being older than a scooter kid’s parent is weird.
