Every food commercial, advertisement, and packaging in the US is currently protein obsessed. I just bought 3 burritos, and the most noticeable thing on the entire package is its protein content. TV commercials about waffles are advertising that they have X amount of protein per serving. The products in my jobsite’s vending machine have protein all over every package.

Did America have a protein thing recently?

    seed oils are posionous.

You mean the industrial oils that didn’t exist 150 year ago, and thus are brand spanking new to the human experience?

Shut the fuck up. Go to SE Asia and tell them nobody ate oil from crushed up seeds 150 years ago. Goddamn.

Rapeseed oil is poisonous to humans unless it is chemically modified in refineries to make Canola. The population is fed 22 million tonnes of Canola a year.

Lots of things are poisonous before we process them, including many things we’ve been eating almost since the discovery of fire.

Not as a major source of nutritional energy, and regardless that isn’t what modern seed oils are today - they are highly refined industrial outputs that are so far removed from “crushed up seeds” its laughable.
