same. I’m here for the memes, and the shitposts

I’ve not personally tested such stuff (as my setup is complete and I did the metadata all by hand before the age of LLMs), but to my understanding; the LLM is able to write opf/XML/whatever files you want for metadata, or even edit the file directly to add metadata. epubs and PDFs support author/title/etc tags iirc, so its not too hard to get the LLM to apply those after ingesting the text and searching online for matches.
I shitpost a lot in comments, making shitposts is lame and for losers. better to actually say meaningful things with a post rather than a nothingburger shitpost xD

I highly reccomend using calibre.
bonus points if you use a self hosted LLM to auto catalogue and apply metadata to the file before importing into calibre.
the recent openweight models are surprisingly good at reading files, pulling info, and doing simple monotonous tasks thousands of times without failing.

and thats where a self hosted llm comes in. feed it the files, have it apply the metadata, and bam you’ve got a library.
iirc calibre has a function like this now, its kinda cool IMO.

I once saw a guy completely eyeball a turbopump design and only have it be something like .3% off the simulated performance numbers. some dudes legitimately just have the “knack”.
I forever remain intensely jealous of those people.

I like things that go boom.
the ATF doesn’t like it when I tell people how to make their own firearms though. suffice to say… if you know how to build a rocket… you can build a shotgun, the laws of physics are the same, just on slightly different scales.

haha; alas, no, I am not.
He did give me several ideas though. I’d be glad to call him a friend; were we ever to meet.

I build liquid rocket engines, and their fuel refinement systems; in a manner thats totally legal for normal (US) civilians.
for instance, did you know that your house’s natural gas line is usually ~80% (varies by municipality, lowest I’ve seen is 74%) methane by volume, and is actually shockingly easy to purify and pressurize into usable methane for a methalox cycle engine?
its even easier to make LOX (liquid oxygen), all you need is: air (in vast supply here on lovely Terra) literally any cooler design that gets down to -183C…( the Glifford McMahon cycle works; and you can build that at home), a fractionating column, (you can buy them off the internet, you’ll want metal, but glassware is still fine-ish as long as you account for thermal shrinkage…and never ever let it heat back up to room temp), a cryo-rated compressor (sold on ebay), and a dewar (also on eBay)?

trolling
you called? :P <br>my roflcopter goes SOISOISOISOISOI

you can always pirate SolidWorks. its the best, and if you pirate it its completely free.
dassault only goes after businesses so feel free to pirate for personal use.
I don’t have an opinion on most things…
but I do have popcorn. hoo boy, there’s a lotta popcorn.
