I wish cosmic had proper touchscreen-support like gnome with the touch it extension and custom screen keyboards. also search inside the overview screen. i dont really like the cosmic launcher if there are multiple open windows of the same program.
Gnome Vanilla is really not that good. But with Extensions and Gnome Tweaks its usable.
Gnome Tweaks enables the minimize button and Extensions enable pretty much everything one could ask for.
I prefer the simplified UI of Gnome to the thousands of options that KDE offers out of the box. But KDE is a really good DE and i used it without problems over a year.
same. also its the only DE i know of thats useable with touchscreens. KDE would work too, buts its too overloaded for my taste and the OSK (On Screen Keyboard) is far inferior to the options of Gnome Extensions.
i wish Cosmic DE would be usable with touchscreens tho.
im pretty sure that this statement is not true tho.
source: used a ntfs-drive 4 yeara ago before i switched completely. windows fast boot has to be diseabled because otherwise the drive will not be writeable or something. also the disk needs to get mounted correctly in linux.

2·13 days agoYes, but i‘m not willing to give my money to worse companies. Valve may not be perfect, but as someone who only uses linux, its the only company that offers and improves compatibility with my systems.
I dont care if a store gets a bigger cut, as long as the bigger cut improves customer service and dont pocket it only for themeselve like ea, ubisoft and epic.
boxes is great, if you just want to try a distro and are already on linux.
there are distros that run on debian sid, if you prefer debian as a distro, but want a more up to date experience.
im running pika os, because it offers up to date gaming tweaks, but doesnt force you to update as often. keep in mind: that os is not something i would recommend for a environment where stability is the goal, because there are only a few maintainers. its just an example of debian sid!

they drop into negatives. its hard to find valuable infprmation because ai written articles make it hard to find correct sources.
