The USA is axis right now

Cops can be fine, many of them want to do good. But law enforcement also attracts/breeds a certain type of thumbhead person that either loves or hates you.

I know he wasn’t seeming very well before he quit his reelection campaign, but just think how hugely better things would have been with him still president.

Or they get a pass like so many corporations are now. Like self driving cars.

I still don’t understand how the party of fiscal responsibility can spend billions imprisoning people that were contributing positively to the US economy.

If they’re deportable then deport them, otherwise leave them alone. We don’t need to be paying to keep people in concentration camps, that is beyond cruel and ridiculous.

How many more ways can this administration find to attack citizens?

We used to deport people here illegally back to their home country. All else aside, why are we not doing that anymore? What are these people imprisoned for? Do we now have a national police force?

For better or worse, who actually does things is what’s in the history books.

So many issues with tech can be traced to crappy software where I’m not even sure there should be software to begin with. Vehicle manufacturers come out with many models and trims with different equipment, I don’t have a lot of faith their software people can keep up with the complexity and changes of all that, especially when you factor in all their suppliers and the fact they make new/updated models every year.

I am on a 7 day ban for the same sort of thing, pointing out how ICE targets brown people. “Inciting hate”, how is pointing out hate crimes the same as inciting hate? Fight the power.

I think maaaaybe on b2b or larger transactions that included a Tariff line item in the invoice. The $2 widget you bought at Dollar Tree, not likely.

From the POV of a business it cost them more labor and money to collect and pay the tariffs and now getting reimbursed and paying the customers/clients back would cost them even more labor and money.

It’s an unfunded cluster fuck of an issue that never should have happened to begin with.

I’ve been hearing about this. And the software isn’t great, I hear stories of kids taking tests online and software glitches keep them from completing the tests. I love computers, but you know what always works? Pencil and paper.
