To be fair, I use LLMs quite a bit in my home lab setup. For one, it’s a home lab, not exactly a prod setup for a company or whatever. Secondly, I obviously also don’t run commands without knowing what they’re doing, with a source that isn’t an LLM. It’s really easy to not run the rm -rf command if you just use your brain.

A Chevy Bolt can be had for under $10k and gets 4 miles per KWh on a bad day. I live in Spokane, which I’d consider the INW (inland northwest), but close enough to the PNW, where my electricity costs about 14 center per KWh. So for 14 cents I can go 4 miles. For $3.50 I can go 100 miles.

In a gasoline car that gets a respectable 50mpg, I could go roughly 50 miles for $3.50, considering Idaho fuel prices. If I filled up in Washington, I wouldn’t get close to 50 miles.

If I made 200k/yr, I could afford to buy two chevy bolts per year, and still be spending less than a conservative 10% of my income on car purchases, not to mention the savings on fuel. I’m guessing a used Nissan leaf would be even cheaper.

Rear tire of a FWD vehicle both times and a small leak while driving on dead straight roads. I was surprised it took me so long to notice as well, but I guess when you’re driving straight and it’s the rear of a FWD vehicle, it’s difficult to notice.

I will say it’s weird to actively not like Linux. It’s OK to think it isn’t for your daily driver PC, but disliking it is weird. It’s undeniably useful as a server OS, and you yourself probably interact with it frequently, even if you don’t know it.

As someone who has gotten a flat and not noticed until the tire was destroyed multiple times, I love TPMS systems. They save me money in the long run as the tire can be patched instead of replaced.

Can’t you get data on some tablets? Sounds like that’s what they need!

As usual, the solution is education. Parental education needs to be prioritized imo. That said, I have no idea how we would implement such a thing. Most likely better general education would help at least.

Them offering 60% after 2 years seems pretty good for a dealership tbh.

I can buy a lot of fuel for what I saved by buying an old used car. Doesn’t really help if I die in a wreck, but I’ll die happier and not in debt I suppose.

The main differences I can think of are:

• Better video quality
• More normalized
• Easier to get your hands on
• They look like raybans and are brand name
• They’re debatibly “cool”
• Also Facebook is involved

Basically they produce better video and are more normalized in society.
