Same reason the US could bring back fascism. It’s easy for people who’ve never been touched by disease/war etc to believe it’s just always been like this. They don’t see the lives lost, the knowledge gained, or the lessons learned that gave them their privileges.

This is the end-game takeover part and it’s all about consolidation of government into the hands of corporations. Collapse every bank but don’t worry, TrumpBank will suddenly be there to take on all customers with the US Treasury backing it, funneling all banking in the country into one institution to consolidate control.

I dunno, the language suggests to me it can be worked around. It states age verification to make the OS account. Linux doesn’t require accounts. This seems to target Microsoft and Apple account creation (since you won’t be able to use the OS without one) and of course Google will implement account requirements on Android

Yeah it’s just an HDMI connection to the TV. Once connected I can swap the output to the soundbar. I’ve been avoiding the Pipewire config since I do audio recording/production for a living and didn’t want to screw things up haha. Looks like it’s time to dive in and give it a shot. Thanks.

Google got exactly what they wanted out of it though. Get 'em young using and feeling comfortable with Google hardware and software, and trapped in the walled garden early. Most are not likely to change to another brand/OS later in life.

Correct. Google is banking on users getting withdrawl and crawling back. They all do the same thing, like Meta products. They give you 30 days before deletion because they know most people are addicted and will recover their accounts.
