Im one of the types who feels its by and large pointless to send humans to space destinations. I think iss is a rare exception because of the experiments but I would mostly like to send machines to places to take readings and to work on making things remotely with machines. If we can setup a decent human habitation on the moon or such with them then I could see sending humans.
This reminds me a lot of eye surgery which I was kinda paranoid about. Thing is there is no way to really know about long term effects until something has been around a long time.
yeah mbin forked because earnest was a bit to controlling but honestly it kinda felt like a good mmo in maintenance mode. Piefed is sorta the best of both as while it certainly has some stand out hard working devs it also has a development community talking and trying to make it and taking feedback. Seriously I have not paid attention at times only to find out there were a bunch more options in the configs and im like woa.
so I liked kbin a lot and it was cause of ernest and what he was doing. then when it kinda fell apart I joined a small mbin instance based on what they guy who runs it wrote which was mostly just about being very much against censorship. Then piefed came about and what im on now is kinda the main instance and honestly its about the devs again who just were passionate about making something great and really expanding capabilities and such. I use a web portal and mostly im following the features I guess with features being things that put as much control in the hands of the user as possible.
There sorta has been for some state of the unions and such. I had fun reading and posting as the craziness words came out. The comedy aspect has been harder to maintain as things go on though. Anyway they kinda sorta have been done but you know people have to do them to be a thing.
I mean as a typical earthling on our distributed digital information sharing network I use my real name of course. My bio says everything about how typical a hooman I am. I thought everyone from this planet was like that.

Im pretty sure they are shielded as I think I have seen stuff like that for the electronics in the iss. Thing is that the eletronics in sattelites and the space station are pretty small relative to datacenters. The only benefit I can really see is maybe they can be solar powered which I guess if the panel acts as shielding and stays sun facing but all the extra expense of getting it up there. I just don’t see it as practical. I mean technically it should either work or not basedo on cost as long as they don’t wring out any subudies or soemthing.
being a tull fan Im going to say stand up, aqualung, songs from the wood, and thick as a brick. The bands early career sorta brought progressive rock front and center and there is definately a difference between rock before the band and after thick as a brick and I think it was very much their influence. Songs from the wood sorta did the same for folk rock.

I was under the impressions cpu’s were very sensitive to radiation. If we could mine and manufacture in space I could see this maybe.

I mean I don’t like the whole world police thing because we know what happens with police. I do get post ww2 it was kinda inevitable but I wish we had stuck to a two degrees of seperatation. We border canada, mexico, atalantic, pacific, and artic ocean. We should have limited to places boarding those oceans and of course the respect the un special status of the antartic but stayed out of anything that does not touch the atalantic or the pacific. I wish we had not been involved in viet nam but im kinda mixed because you look at how neat south korea is and how crappy north korea is.
Isrealis got a little bit with the initial attack but it did not take long to be like wow. this is worse than us. that being said what I want is to have nothing to do with the region and that includes the saudis.
