Cyclosporiasis is on the rise in the US but the information on how to handle the parasite is very contradictory. Literally heard on the radio this morning that in order to kill Cyclospora cayetanensis, you have to boil your produce but the news is saying something else.

Please be safe everyone.

I read online they test your poop. I know its silly but I dont wanna do it :(

Ive already had four invasive procedures (hello pap smears and mamograms) in the last few months, and I think I am starting to feel better today.

Youre so right. I know your right, I dont think my monkey brain is gonna let me. I got some ginger beer and some rest in. My husband is home tomorrow, I will heed this advice tomorrow, he has said the same to me, I promise, tomorrow. Thanks for caring <3

Edit: Im calling rn god dammit

For the poop testing, its not invasive. You give them your actual poop and they test it, but your doctor would have to request for the test.

I know this feeling all too well, glad you did right by yourself. And remember, even if you’re doctor says, “there’s nothing we can do, just rest and let your body recover itself,” it was still worth doing to be safe.
