The news just got confirmed that supreme leader of Iran Ali Khamenei is dead. The news has been confirmed by Iran state media.

This explains the Iranian reaction of why all the neighbouring countries having US bases were attacked, it was due to the fact that Khamenei was dead.

There were celebrations in many parts of Iran, many saw these strikes as their sign of liberation by greater powers like Israel and USA.

Iran’s future still remains uncertain with one thing confirmed that Pro-US and Pro-Israel consensus to increase, but still to what extent.

What do you think? Let me know.

What I want to say is that Khamenei was neither universally loved nor universally hated. Iran, like any society, is multifaceted.

I think that dismissing the joy parts of Iran felt after Khamenei died as mere propaganda is dumb. And labeling all of these people as Mossad agents or dumb imperialists is also dumb. To me and the Iranians I know, it’s good that he died. The way he died isn’t good, the intervention isn’t good, does that make me an imperialist?

Obviously in any society there are going to be people who hate their leaders and want them dead. The question is who do we give voice to? Who gets shown on our TVs and social media feeds, and who is silenced? That’s what makes it propaganda.

Also, is Libya better off after the imperialists killed Qaddafi? Is that what you want for Iran?

And in this society, there are a lot of people who hate their leaders. Like, since 2019, there have been three large waves of protests. And each time between 500 and 3.000 people were shot, if we are to believe the numbers issued by the government. And people still go out to protest. That is not normal for a society.

Iranian State Media goes through a lot of effort to show the mourners and not people who celebrate. Western media does the opposite. Both perspectives (there are only mourners or there are no mourners) are propaganda.

Libya was held together by Gaddafi, whether one liked him or not. The IRI is much more entrenched and is not based on such a cult of personality. This regime won’t fall, just because an old ghoul croaked. I want neither the Shah nor the IRI for Iranians. And as I have stated repeatedly I do not want this war. Yet I won’t stand here and pretend that the death of a theocratic cunt doesn’t bring me joy.

The country is under an economic siege war and there’s constant meddling from CIA/Mossad to institigage color revolution. In the most recent protest we know that they were directly involved because they openly admitted it. They smuggled guns to people on the ground who then attacked police and military targets. This is not normal for a society either.

That’s the context in which Iran kills “protesters”. It’s far more complicated than you seem to want to acknowledge.

But let’s revisit this in a year and see if Iran is better off.
