On the one hand: Trump did not do this to bring freedom there.

On the third hand: This is not paving the way for positive change in Iran, if anything Khamenei just became a martyr and his successor will be more powerful.

I mean, we will see about that. Maybe, that’s true, maybe not. There are huge protests in that country every few months. IMO, it’s a matter of time until it collapses.

It is, but not all change is positive change. The replacement could be fascism, or US vassals (setting the stage for Islamic Republic 2.0), or literally anything other than a healthy democracy, and a war of national survival does not at all bode well for the latter possibility. There is such a thing as good conditions and bad conditions for democracy.

I mean… We can guess around whether it gets better or worse. We don’t yet…

Maybe, the replacement kills tens of thousands of protesters, too… Maybe, they won’t…

Can I get an example of when foreign invasions have ever been good for the country being invaded? When has that ever been good for the citizens of said country?

You got me, though I’d argue they repelled a foreign invasion and did not lose to the foreign invaders. That’s on me for not being explicit though
