Coincidentally that was exactly the plan by Republicans when they “allowed” concessions for the ACA to pass. They drilled as many holes into that boat to guarantee it would eventually sink and Democrats ate that shit up.
Even funnier was how Democrats had a majority but held on to decorum and tradition while Republicans burned those down every chance they got.
And republican states who turned down federal funding towards the ACA claimed that the options were so expensive because the ACA was just that bad. Will “states’ rights” ever not be used in cowardice for major talking points?
Medical bills can very easily get into 6 and even 7 digits.
I wouldn’t try to self-insure unless I had an 8-digit networth.
