The guy is preparing for some kind of land war. There is no need for a draft in the United States unless we’re fighting against China.
And even then the US military is hopelessly outnumbered. The issue is that China doesn’t want armed conflict. As far as I can tell, their only real goal is to do business nowadays. Especially considering that both the Chinese and American economies are so closely tied together.
I don’t think that this current administration knows what they’re doing. They’re flopping around like they’re sinking in water.

I think the only solution is the 25th amendment.
Under modern conditions of warfare, there is no need for a draft under any circimstances.
