The president's comments came after a reporter asked why the U.S. had not informed its allies about the president's decision to launch a joint operation with Israel against Iran.
To be fair he is publicly condemned for it.

This is even at a time, where Trump is threatening the Japanese economy to the extreme, since they get 90% of their oil through the Strait of Hormuz. This illegal war with Iran Trump has engaged in is already causing Japan major problems.
