Yandex & Telegram are good examples. People misunderstand why Russia still has structural links to Israel. Huge Russian population there + Mexicanification of the nation post-USSR. They’re moving away from them and Europe but far, far too late.
I view Putin as a mnemonic history and law guy. He makes decisions based off a kind of political sentimentalism. He’s been forced into a situation where imperialism is the primary political issue in Russia and the idea of rapproachment with the west has become untenable

Don’t let me oversell it, but I’m afraid he’s gone as far as to compare Israel’s “struggle with terrorism” to Chechnya. This is insane.
