Why are some people such pieces of shit, finding pleasure in hurting such innocent people😢
Because they were often hurt, themselves. It is not a pleasant part of life.
If it makes you feel better it’s a small, small minority of people who are often a result of easily fixable societal shortcomings foisted on people who are probably just aimlessly lashing out at a world that only waits to punish, not fix. We focus on them because we enjoy clutching pearls and imagining the world as frightening in ways it isn’t so we can ignore the banal terrors we are partly culpable for.
Because all humans are animals but not all animals are people.
When I first heard about this story I was picturing one of those creepy dirty little rundown houses that you’d see someone being held hostage in on CSI or something. But of course, it’s a fucking mansion, and thanks to capitalism being designed to reward the worst possible people, these creep shows were fucking loaded.
