The “farmer” doesn’t actually do any farming, they just own the means of production and exploit the farmers.
The undocumented immigrants aka the “criminals” are the real farmers.
As always, I got the username wrong…

Depends on the content.
Is it a shitty generic isekai anime where the same plot gets recycled again and again? I watch on my phone on some shitty streaming site.
Is it an above average show that I know it’s going to be good? I will download the highest quality I can find and wait as long as I need to watch it on my best screen.
Ofc half the times I start bring watching on streaming and then turns out the show is actually good and I jump to mkv midway.
What I cannot do independently of content is watching with any tiny bit of noise whatsoever in the apartment.
Someone talking on another room, or using the kitchen or a TV or a radio, or just walking, will completely kill my immersion, I need absolute silence to watch things.
Apart from open WRT, there’s also opensense or opn Sense which let’s you turn any old computer into a router as long as it has 2 network cards.
You may also need a switch and a WiFi AP tho, so at that point you better get an openWRT router. Just leaving this info here in case it’s useful.

Nice!!! But I feel those entry distros could do a lot more to be more user friendly, there are many edge cases where you still need to use a terminal and have some understanding of the OS. We need a truly GUI only distro with more wizards, and automatic repair so more people flee to Gnu/Linux

Unfortunately there’s no good term for that, I guess.
Market manipulation?

I meant that it would die as an “open” platform, so power users would be compelled to stop using android.

I understand, but there’s a good argument that android is the reason why GNU/Linux phones don’t get good.
The death of android as an “open” platform would put some pressure to actual develop an alternative.

Not sure how I should feel about this, if I should support the cause to keep android “open” (when it’s everything but), or if I should be happy that this piece of shit OS finally shows it’s true colours and people (including me) will finally be forced to find an alternative or stop using this trashware all together.
And hopefully developers finally get serious about GNU/Linux phones.
Might not agree with Lenin on everything but this one is right on spot.
Oh, my second favorite quote is also from him I had no idea
